[Solved] SiteGround error | Failed to create cname record
You probably end up on this page because you had the following error while trying to add a CNAME record through the DNS zone editor of SiteGround's admin panel:

A common scenario for this error to pop up is when you're adding the autodiscover CNAME record for Outlook, when you are setting up Office 365 integration with a domain registered at SiteGround.
There is a simple solution for this error, luckily!
By default, an "A" type record exists for a couple of things, for example for the "autodiscover" host. Check for an existing record in the "A" type records to see if there is a pre-existing record for the one you are trying to add. Once you find it, simply delete it and you will be able to add your "CNAME" type record.
